In 2019, I had the opportunity to paint a custom mural on Graydon’s Crossing, sponsored by a public art event, After Dark by Lions & Rabbits Center for the Arts. The mural transformed the building into a vibrant landmark, blending tradition with contemporary art to make Graydon's a standout spot in the community.
Later on, the mural ended up serving a greater purpose than just a external building design - it led to a larger visual face-lift of the Graydon’s Crossing brand. As one of the few Grand Rapid’s businesses that shows soccer matches, the visual identity was built around the lion, as a nod to it’s significance in European soccer clubs. The updated and refined visual brand presence of Graydon’s Crossing boosted their unique experience and offerings amongst other Grand Rapids businesses, and emphasized their presence in the Creston Neighborhood.
